This morning I was able to head downtown and snap a few photos as Architecture for Humanity was setting up for this year’s event at the corner of Washington and Meridian. They had spots on the east and the west side of the street which was nice to see. Kevin reported on the details in a post last week regarding today’s event. People for Urban Progress’ shade structure was not on hand yet as they were scheduled to be picking it up around 9am this morning. However, the progress at 7:30am was already inspiring. One gentleman walked by as I was snapping a photo and exclaimed, “Nice park!”
Crews were still busy setting pieces in place, and I didn’t have the luxury of time to stick around, but here is what I saw while I was there. We hope to have more pictures later in the day from other’s members of Urban Indy. So check back later!
I usually plop down on the grass by the Statehouse for lunch. I’m definitely going to head over there instead.
