Transit

In Indianapolis,  only our bare bones bus service qualifies as transit, although that was not always the case.  This city has a rich heritage of streetcars and interurban rail.  As for the future, we look to the Indy Connect plan as an example that the city has finally begun to take mass transit seriously.

  • On my blog i have been writing about my life, which includes my transition between a car and a bus or pedestrian. At least there is serviceable transit – comparing cars and buses is like thinking apples and peas are the same. I’m very tired of the bad atitude people have here of the bus system – it’s safe, cheap, and can only improve. Right now the real problem with transit is information and attitudes about transit. If anybody whines further I may have to punch them in the nose.
