Meridian-Kessler started as a wealthy enclave around the turn of the century, and saw its most rapid development take place in the 1920’s. Meridian-Kessler was originally a streetcar suburb, and it is still blessed with active neighborhood nodes.  In particular, College Avenue hosts a wide array of businesses and services.
Really enjoy your website. I would suggest that M-K has always been pretty diverse economically. The area where I live (southeast quadrant) has pretty modest home stock and I believe was (and is) home to many middle and working class families who made use of the great public transportation that once served this area. Families and individuals (who are not wealthy) can still find affordable homes here and live close to Indygo routes and the Monon.
