Today marks the 9th Anniversary of the first post on Urban Indy. It’s a good time time for an update on the status of the blog.
I’m sure readers have noticed that posts on this site have dropped quite a bit. Unfortunately due to work and family restraints, I have been unable to make weekly posts like I did in the past. I’m hopeful that there will be some upcoming changes that will make blogging easier for me, but at the moment it is difficult.
I’m still on the outlook for other dedicated citizens who are able to contribute to the blog with posts. There is still good discussion going on with the Urban Indy blog’s e-mail group, where we update each other on topical discussion of issues that are pertinent to the site. Even if we’re not making posts, we’re still actively involved with community development.
There’s also plenty of material for this blog to cover. And there is plenty of room for an urban voice in Indianapolis. Even our usual ally, the Indianapolis Business Journal, seems to have fallen prey to a bit of groupthink recently.
The citizens of this city deserve an independent and free voice dedicated to improvement of our active transportation system. Urban Indy plans on being that voice in the future. Please join us. If you think you can help with blog posts, you can reach me at kevin dot kastner at gmail dot com. I’d love to hear from you.
Kev Congrats on 9 years Keep up the great work
