I am a lifelong Indy native. I graduated from Colonial Christian School on the north side in 2003. Then went onto graduate from DePauw University in Greencastle in 2007 with a B.A. in Biology. I moved to the Caribbean and started medical school in 2008 and graduated in 2013. I'm currently working through a temp agency part time and going through the residency application process, which is a long process. I hope to start a psychiatry residency program this summer. I've lived in Chicago, Detroit, and NYC as a medical student and I've visited multiple U.S. cities. For the past year my guilty pleasure has become mass transit, and I'm passionate about the efforts in Indianapolis to expand and enhance our transportation system.

Moving Forward with BRT

Now that SEA 176, better known as the mass transit bill, has been signed into law, the real work begins for transit advocates to push support for the Indy Connect plan.  As we all know, SEA 176 prohibits light rail.  It does not, however, prohibit heavy rail or commuter rail.  But that’s another post for …

Finally…..Mass Transit Bill Passed

Next Train…..Going Nowhere

Mass transit in central Indiana took one-half step forward, and what some might say one-fourth of a step back.  The Senate Tax and Fiscal Policy Committee approved a bill that would allow for expanded mass transit in Marion, Hamilton, Johnson, Delaware, Madison, and now Hancock counties.  The funding structure proposed by last year’s Summer Transit …
